A couple weeks ago a chord progression made me think of something, which I realized was actually the bass from the last part of Strike Battle (except I was actually thinking of Mania's Metal Sonic fight). That indirectly led me down the road of looking into Corrupted again, which directly led to me making this. 

Someone said on another track from XC that the song sounded like something from Sonic, so I thought to do something with it and Genny. I already had a sequence of Strike Battle from years ago that I could reference, so I did a cover of that first.
Ended up creating a bunch of cool Genny patches-- by accident, as usual. Stumbling into what became the first bass was awesome. I think that was the first time I've ever said "that sounds GREAT" out loud about something I was working on.
I seem to have learned how to manage voices a bit better because I finished all the important parts and then did the shit you forget about last. Like the countermelody during the A section was the last thing I added because I figured out a way I could pull it off.

I couldn't find any fucking sprite sheets for this guy. I had to redraw a shittily scaled-up sprite from scratch. BTW, it was that shit where some pixels are 2x2 while others are 3x3 *plays that clip from Halloween Town of Luke in the theater* and still others are 2x3. On the bright side though, it made me appreciate the quality of the sprite.
