I made an April Fools VVVVVV mod that has the Sacred Grounds from Cave Story. I spent a week making it.

Track from 2020 I never uploaded. I think this was when I was first playing with PM2's unique FIR Filter/Echo settings in C700. It came about entirely because the Cello sample reminded me of the Pokey Overdriven Guitar.

I did some music for MaGMML3. Not a lot, didn't really have the time, but I've still done a few bits, I'll upload them over the next few days.

Anyway, yeah, Chaos Assault. It needed music and it was the shmup stage. Now ask the guy who's into shmup music to make shmup music for you. Yeah, like, I'm not gonna lie but I think this turned out great! I was particularly inspired by Tsukumo Hyakutaro's works (particularly Hyper Duel and Thunder Force 5) for this, as 48H used a cover of Legendary Wings for its shmup stage.

I remember Cathode had a small idea for this... the only things remaining from their idea is the key signature and tempo... sorry Cathode...

Here it (finally) is, that Angler Woman arrangement as it was heard during Y+1's artist application video that was released in 2023. Basically: accordion rock. It works. Maybe it's an actual genre that sounds very different, but I don't care. Accordion rock.

This track plays during the climax of the film, where the main character, Cody Landeira, is playing a fast-paced, classic shooter-style arcade game in the laundromat.

(they also did the track art, of course!)

I wrote this about a year ago and unfortunately, no longer have some of the plugins/subscriptions needed to open the project file. I would have liked to do an updated mix, but cannot without re-doing many parts of the song from the ground up. I figured I'd rather share it as-is than not at all!
