Technological Singularity

The intense emotions, sensory experience including vibrancy of colors, and particular mental state provoked by temporal lobe abnormalities may have contributed to the creation of works of art. Cognitive neuroscience researcher Michael Persinger asserts that stimulating the temporal lobe electromagnetically can cause temporal lobe epilepsy and trigger hallucinations of apparent paranormal phenomena such as ghosts and UFOs. Neurotheologians speculate that individuals with temporal lobe epilepsy, having a natural tendency to experience states of consciousness such as euphoria or samādhi, have functioned in human history as religious figures or shamans.

Epilepsy Injection Device (based London, UK) has been established as duo in 2008 by former members of bands NYIA and Hyperion. All samples, FX effects and some song structures have been created and recorded during before or after attack states of Alan (bass, drum and sampler programming). Unique visions and feelings loaded on his brain while as attacks appear are great inspiration. Together with unusual sonic sense of Mateusz (guitarist) they create extraordinary combination of metal, industrial with experimental touch. It is main reason of band's name choice.

Music of Epilepsy Injection Device has been evolved from regular metal tunes to more and more delicate and melodic states. Debut material named "Consciousness Expansion" has been recorded on December 2010 in Frequency Institute Studio (North London, UK). Album consists 8 compositions created on late 2009 and 2010. First songs have been recorded as well under EP "Technological SIngularity".

Tom, known from Third Degree band, has been joined Epilepsy Injection Device on June 2011 as long wanted vocalist.
