A personal passion project of taking the music from the NES game Gun Nac and covering it in Deflemask.

The first 18 tracks are exports out of Deflemask. The rest are from a NA Sega Genesis VA2 Model 1.

Post processing:
-Deflemask: volume level equalization between all tracks
-Real Hardware: only added .5 seconds of silence in the beggining and fade outs. No eq/compression/limiter/etc

Raystorm - Geometric City in Deflemask [YM2151+PCM]

This is my version of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata Movement 3 in Deflemask using the YM2151+PCM arcade soundchip. I covered this for a mini-game I'm making called Torasu, which is an homage to Gyruss.
I had a lot of fun working on this, especially with the drums.

-I took a section of Toccata & Fugure in D minor and made this with it.
-Decided to make a boss song for my game Torasu instead of just using the stage song theme. Didn't seem right without one.

Gradius 2 - Something Ghostly (YM2612 Remix)

Hyper Light Drifter just came out on Steam and will be out on Consoles soon. The original version of "Cathedral X" grabbed me within the first few seconds of it playing. The music in this game is very ambient, so it was a challenge to piece the ambient versions leading into X.

I did this just for fun and within a couple hours. Replaced the drums, guitar, and bass, but left as many samples out as I can. Vocal tracks were isolated from the original song and overlaid onto this.

Curse is a clunky obscure shmup, but it has its place in my heart. I really dug the music for Level 3, so I decided to redo it on its own soundchip in hopes that it'll sound better than the original.
