After a short hiatus, E P I S O D E S is back to kick off the new year with a series of mixes from amazing individuals. 

We start 2023 by inviting my friend Tim Andresen from Copenhagen, Denmark. I first met Tim when I did a party in Copenhagen where I booked him to play before Todd Terje several years ago. I knew he was behind the club Culture Box which has been running since 2005 and was well aware of his productions and releases on different labels such as What Happens and Savoir Faire Musique, but  had never heard him play live. There is a difference between djs and djs... let's just make that clear. The art of being able to run a dance floor, keep it interesting for the crowd, never let it die and do it with such simplicity is nothing short of an art form. Tim does it and it never looks hard. He loves what he does and it shows when he plays. Since then Tim and I have played at each other's clubs and he has guested E P I S O D E S twice in the past year alone. It's an absolute honor to know you, it's an honor and such a luxury to hear you play as often as I get to and it's an honor to start this mix series in 2023 with a mix from you. This mix is simply beautiful. Full of deep grooves in the most perfect tempo that takes you across dreamy soundscapes. A multifaceted journey through time and space. Just close your eyes and listen. @emjie-music is a Brussels-based DJ and producer inspired by art, design and other multicultural disciplines. From indie dance to progressive techno, her music universe is rhythmed by magnetic vibes and rock influences. Her productions are a hybrid mix of analog and digital samples, hypnotizing pads, carefully selected bass lines and percussions for an energetic and danceable feeling. Her debut EP “Sonic Identity” was released in January 2023 on the brazilian label Not Another, with the early support from Paco Osuna, Richie Hawtin, Flash Brothers, Deer Jade, Robert Babicz, and more.

Making her debut on the Brussels scene a few years ago, she quickly became a favorite allowing her to release her magic at iconic places such as Tomorrowland, Paradise City, Wecandance, Extrema Outdoor,
and the best clubs of Belgium including Fuse, Kompass, Ampere and many others. EMJIE's aura is spreading worldwide as she often plays at international venues in Tulum, Ibiza, Düsseldorf, Barcelona and
Porto. During her shows, EMJIE performs with deep energy and always gets what the crowd is looking for. Her secret weapon? She always throws unexpected tracks with her magic wand, turning any place into a wild and electric dance floor.
