Paradise Loops is a weekly groove infused mix series aimed to provide a backdrop of balearic, anthemic and nostalgic sounds on those sun-soaked glory days.

Back once again with Danny Vito for Paradise Loops 047, with a straight up epic mix of house, breaks & electronica that just oozes with sunshine sounds.

Funnuvojere  is  the  new  imprint  founded  by  Massimiliano  Pagliara.  Now  marking  his  third  album  release,  after  countless  remixes  and  EPs,  the  Panorama  Bar  resident  widens  the  horizon  of  his  musical  contributions  by  launching  a  label  “deep  as  the  ocean”  as  the  name  suggests,  and  open  to  different  musical  genres.The  first  instalment  comes  from  James  Booth.  Known  also  as  The  Gardener  and  North  Vest,  the  Manchester  born  producer  has  been  known  for  his  distinctive  deep  sound  very  dear  to  Los  Angeles  based  imprint  100%  Silk  and  Hamburg's  Growing  Bin  Records  that  released  his  latest  LP  in  2017.  “Bath  Time”  is  a  thrillingly  deep-cosmic  cut  rich  in  melodies  and  emotions.  The  EP  starts  off  with  a    spaced-out,  italo  classic  cut  where  form  assumes  a  different  dimension  as  the  music  layers  intertwine  in  an  everlasting  flow.  If  the  title  track  seems  ironically  like  a  perfect  place  to  start  a  party  night,  “Roller  Chrome”  is  an  emotional  ballad  for  hopeful  dance  floors;  while  “Such  Is  Life”  is  a  nostalgic  piece  of  balearic  tradition.

After just 6 months since first seeing Big Yawn perform, we are thrilled to welcome them to the Research family. A compelling prelude to their debut album "No!" due out in late 2019.

Over six years the Melbourne-based group has evolved, with members of the band running various releases through label and collective Fallopian Tunes. As of 2019, Big Yawn had become a four-member music group, motivated by a history of studio production, prolific collaboration and quality hangout time.

The groups freshest effort 'Skin Rat/Thomas' captures the band performing live in the studio, and it's typical Big Yawn: fat and punchy low-end bass; drums and live drum processing; delay fx samples; thick syrupy synths. 'Skin Rat' is a hyperbolically dubbed out, tongue in cheek, magnetic blend of UK garage, footwork and breaks. And 'Thomas' takes cues from a slightly damaged post-punk sound, amplifying a brittle and sinister type of atomic porn-funk.

Limited to 200 copies. Hand numbered and housed in a screen-printed sleeve, artwork by Julian Hocking.

Ten Brains! Much can be achieved with One Brain, so it begs the question: how much goodness can be conceived with Ten?! There is a very clear and definitive answer, concealed in the aural fine print of the debut Ten Brains release, PIPE, which finds a cosy home on Houses in Motion.

Crisp and emotionally pervasive, the record is punctuated by playful basslines, melodic quips and bouncing broken beats; as fitting in the rainforest as in a jungle of heaving bodies in a dark room.

Taking the reins for the flipside’s reinterpretations are trusty pilots RP and Andy Garvey, who both add a large helping of heat and euphoria to the mix.

The future sound of now is here, tomorrow and always, courtesy of Ten Brains.
