Where house music, art and mythology collide **SPARKLE**

The Unicorns offer more than just the ever popular art car at Burning Man, but that’s where this fairy-tale started in the spring of 2011. A group of artists, makers, DJs, and adventurers brought their love of all things funky and magical together to create the Charlie The Unicorn Art Car, an homage to the most infamous Unicorn in the history of popular culture.

Shortly after the launch of the art car, the Los Angeles based team realized they could spread the Unicorn sparkle to thousands more by producing local parties and participating in community festivals. Since then, this blessing of enchanted beings have put on events in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City and San Diego. More art was built including the LED Rainbow and The Unicorn Lair, a unique staging and art area that can feature DJs, musicians, dancers, live painters, projection mapped imagery and whatever your imagination can add to it.   
As of 2018, The Unicorns have hosted stages at or been a part of LA Pride, Boogaloo Art Car & Music Festival, One Love Festival, i3Arts Festival, Los Angeles DeCom, San Francisco DeCom, Venice After-Burn, Untz Festival, YouTopia, Chalice Festival, Emerald Exchange and the San Diego Mardi Gras Parade. The Unicorn DJs and musicians have performed at Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, and many other internationally known events.

Every week since 2010, we feature exclusive house, breakbeat, and drum 'n' bass mixes from our own roster of DJs as well as from Krafty Kuts, Ardalan, Yo Speed, Left/Right, A.Skillz, Plump DJs, Elite Force, Slyde, and more.

Epoch Failure is a New Jersey urban duo, resulting from the collaborative efforts of singer Billy Joe Marrero and rapper Nick Young. Their new single, “They Ain’t Talkin’ Now”, was recorded in Nashville with Tommee Profitt–– the producer and composer for Capitol rapper NF, whose latest Perception LP debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. 
 
With 30+ film/tv/ad credits already on their resume, Epoch Failure has become a force to be reckoned with in the licensing realm. A recent career highlight was having their song “Every Day Great (Dreamers)” featured in a promotional trailer for the blockbuster Lionsgate film, WONDER. The spot aired nationwide on all major networks. Meanwhile, their debut single "Champion" remains a breakout track in the sports world. It was played during the post-game celebration at both Super Bowl 50 & LI. In similar fashion, across the pond, “Champion” provided the in-stadium soundtrack at Hampden Park in Glasgow during the 2017 Betfred Cup final. The inspiring anthem has also been featured by The NFL Network, ESPN, Fox Sports, NASCAR, WWE, NBC Sports, NY Knicks, NY Giants, Denver Broncos and the Australian Football League.  
 
The group's second single was a reinvention of Bon Jovi's legendary anthem, "Livin' on a Prayer". It reached the Top 10 on Spotify's Viral 50 USA chart, which highlights the most shared and trending tracks in the country. The song was also featured by ESPN during their NFL Sunday Countdown programming throughout the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl lead-up coverage. Upon discovering the Epoch Failure version, Bon Jovi shared the song across all their major online platforms. In addition, Jon Bon Jovi and cowriter Desmond Child have offered the following joint statement of praise:

On Epoch Failure’s 2017 Warrior’s Hymn EP, the big hooks and commercial sensibilities remained, but the sophomore effort surpassed their 2015 self-titled debut in both emotional intensity and lyrical maturity. Warrior’s Hymn is a collection of street anthems celebrating the bold, the broken and the believers. The immensely well-received title track was featured on ESPN’s First Take programming, FOX’s UFC Road To The Octagon, and the English Premier League’s official Spotify playlist. 

The new release (“They Ain’t Talkin’ Now”) follows in the positive spirit of Warrior’s Hymn, while recapturing the intensity and aggression of their debut single, “Champion”. It’s an anthem about overcoming adversity and rising up in the face of all the doubters and haters. As such, this track is more than just a song… it’s a personal sonic portrait.
