(Just before you all read, I would like to mention that the following is my experience of Modified Radical Mastoidectomy, which I under-went on July 15, 2013. The rest is self explanatory)

My jaws dropped, when they caught me with Cholesteatoma
More like a benign-tumour / the doc prescribed 'my ears do need 'tune up'
But the sooner we operate, the sooner 'you get on stage' with God's grace, just have faith
After-I-had him-paid, walked-away / trying to contemplate
'On-what's-about-to-come-my-way!' My dad said it 'strong and straight'
 
"I'll be, honest eh ... 
 
Life's a sad sonnet / most rhymes stir up that nest of hornets / without giving a warning!
And the very driven-concept of finding happiness in the temple of the Iconic - Adonis, is ironic"
 
 
Eight hours I was on it / call it the solid knowledge ?!
Scroll'em columns on Chronic Otitis media - problems 
Erodes them bones supposedly, heads for the balance organ
Cochlea is damaged often / Meningitis - an option.
 
'Shelter infectious toxins? / And you become the coffin'
 
 (Verse Two)

When 'Death-did-really-stalk' me / what pissed me off promptly
Situation was swampy / Smartly being served a plate of Sukiyaki
Sprinkled with Fool's parsley / to chew properly / too radical, too harsh for me
 
What kinda of evil sorcery was Mastoidectomy?/ Never could really guarantee
the hearing that should be promised to me / I was so disheartened you see!
 
Would cycle the streets / ride with the breeze, called melancholy / Man .. I feel like Rock Lee
 
Awe-fully bad / handicapped / sadly trapped / will I ever be able to sing or rap?
shall look I up to Frankie perhaps / Bone anchored hearing aids or cochlear implants?
 
Man .. I was caught in a trance /smoking a plant / wishing I never had to cancel the shows for my band
But my folks do understand / and back their front-man! / till the very day he is onstage and back again
 
(Verse Three)
 
Got me back my strength / black tea with Saccharin / to track the scent
Lead me to optimism / that I left practicing / pessimism had me locked up in a labyrinth
 
Start to cleanse with 3 times a day,  3 drops of Moxifloaxcin / results were flashing
Even If I'm deaf I won't be giving up my passion ..
Before I took my mic, I took the pen - and started writing / that's when I had decided
 
 
'It's my life and so I'll recite it'
 
Add a layer mask in photoshop - I'll brighten /
Take the brush of vibrance - quick select them moments / 'Oh I'm so excited'
Enough with mind games so , I'm an Mc, a poet / will never quit the fighting Yo! 
 
Even at the hospital / when facial paralysis was possible
But I stood firm / in believing they would re-fix my ossicles!

(PS: I once thought my career in music was almost over as I had the risk of becoming deaf but I made it, somehow! My first show after surgery was six weeks later ... )
 
(PPS: This was written somewhere in between the six weeks of recovery)
