Mean Teeth’s “We Hold On” was a standout track from Mayan Audio’s Summer Drum & Bass 2018 Lp and sets new musical levels for the outfit. A full expedition of powerful production wrapped around edgy vocal sleekness. “We Hold on” is a beautifully written piece of contemporary Drum & Bass.

Now the prolific NickBee has cast his deep, murky progressive tech fused and often left-field style that comes a custom with his cutting drums and morphing animalistic bass lines. Incorporating the dystopian atmosphere from the original and using an intelligent play with the vocal top line, the remix twists and turns with its hard hitting grooves and provides a shining example of NickBee’s ability to place his own sonic stamp but with maintaining the vibe from the Mean Teeth track.

Never conforming to any set mould, NickBee’s allegiance to innovation makes a quirky, experimental element a defining factor of his music and next-level sound design, which is never forced or overdone; only a tastefully applied balance of hi-tech and low-fi skill.

Mayan Audio have landed a huge remix from NickBee who will continue to remain a prominent figure in the future sound of drum & bass.
