A founding member of the @eter_brno crew with Obraz and Prozac, @kosmic_skaut runs their regular mix series and organizes parties. In Brno, he's also behind Studio 410, a place for meeting and cooperation of local DJs and producers during the closed clubs period.

For 8 years he's also been organizing the "Michalský výpad" festival in the historical centre of its native Olomouc, bringing interesting artists of the Czech electronic scene to local audiences.

Music for Indoors 13 - KOSMIC SKAUT (ÉTER - Brno, Czechia)

INCANTATIONS is a collection of sixteen visual and sonic experiments centred around the idea of score as spell, curated and produced by Séance Centre’s Brandon Hocura and Naomi Okabe.

A spell and its incantation are distinct, but conjoined by a symbolic, almost umbilical force. A spell is a totem text, a material call for change — a seed, a recipe, an instruction, a potential. The incantation of a spell gives it life, brings breath to body, raises hairs, moves minds. For this project, eight spell-scores were created by visual/text-based artists for a musician/composer to incant. Taking a wide interpretation of what can be considered a score, these works include concrete poetry, collage, painting, drawing, spell-poetry, instructional art, and recipe. The resulting sound works give voice to these evocative “texts”, residing in the liminal space between musical form and magical utterance.

Killy /SaekoKilly, from Tokyo, is a Berlin-based DJ, vocalist, and producer. She has been active in the Tokyo scene as DJ since 2004 and is a member of VOODOOHOP collective from São Paulo since 2019. Started producing weird pop songs since the pandemic started. Her debut EP ‘DANCING PIKAPIKA’ is now released from ChillMountainRec(JPN).

Snakedance is based in Hamburg. In 2019 he started together with some friends @hallo-radio which is an online radio, but with a strong focus on the local community and on realizing events connected to the locality.
His musical roots are in Dresden to where he is still connected through @zeptermusik , a project of musical exploration through events, DJing and unearthing recordings.

For us he made a morphing set of creepy tribal electronics and ambiance. A restlessness surrounds even the more relaxed parts of the mix, which end up  sometimes even in rave reminiscences. Rather than focussing on individual tracks, there is a omnipresent and continuous rhythm, a everending flow that makes the songs merge into another. This transformations from one previous form to the next is creating a central tension during the listen, which ultimately leads to something new, a hypnotic beauty, an unnameable third.

'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

His soul is inked, his mind determined, he's a productive sloth and what I call DIY!
