Tree roots fuse to the cracks of pavements, spores germinate. In the compost, tracing the spiral bodies of animates, Elina Tapio (@elinatapio) and Hannah Pezzack (@hanapezzack) present a love song to growth and (re)generation. Here, molecularized textures of sound sing back – splintered voices in dissonance utter forms of hallucinogenic glossolalia. The second instalment of 'Scrying the Landscape' features Turner Prize winner, Tai Shani's (@taishani) The Neon Hieroglyph (2021), a composition inspired by ergot, a fungus that grows on rye and other grains from which LSD is derived. With Petra Péterffy’s morphic graphics and animations, Diapason has become a much anticipated  bi-monthly appointment for the Sameheads audience. 

The recent lockdown forced Sameheads to cancel our latest two episodes. Shifting to this hidden virtuality, we want to keep the tradition alive and have reached out to some of our past guests and assembled a Diapason Compilation Tape Vol. 1 featuring new music from some of the artists who inspired us.
