I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints.

But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room...

Looking back at 2016, Jeremy Olander could make a case that it was his biggest year so far...

He launched his new label Vivrant which saw 4 out of the first 5 releases make it to number one on Beatport, and he also took the brand on a label tour across 5 continents which included a sold out hometown gig to 1200 people alongside Henry Saiz, Finnebassen and Charlie Don’t Surf. His Talespin EP on Suara made it to number one on Beatport's Top 100 Releases chart, and the B-side, ‘Panorama’, sat at number one on the Progressive chart for impressive 35 days straight. On the remix front, Olander notably reworked  ‘LETTERS’, the Sailor & I and Eekkoo collaboration released on Big Beat/Atlantic - a remix which is quickly approaching 1 million streams on Spotify.

2017 is well set to be even better: The ‘Damon’ EP is out now on his own imprint (the first release from Olander this year); upcoming is an collaboration EP with past Balance Selections compiler Cristoph, and a non-stop tour schedule is ensuring the Vivrant label owner is taking his sound globally.

For this podcast the Swede has delivered a mix which feature an exciting amount of new Jeremy Olander productions: 'I’ve included a lot of unheard stuff to make it stand out and show people what I’ve been working on lately.’ Olander told us, 'Most of these I haven't played at any shows so I'm excited to try and gauge what people might like by the reactions’. And we can only think the reactions will be positive. Jeremy Olander has gone above and beyond to deliver something special.

Der Mensch und der Stress gehören zusammen wie das Ying zum Yang. Dieses ambivalente Verhältnis mag vielen unbewusst sein, offenbart sich jedoch in einer Vielzahl alltäglicher Situationen. Nach einem langen Arbeitstag möchte der Normalbürger sich entspannen und abschalten. Man lässt sich enthusiastisch auf der Couch nieder und konsumiert im Regelfall elektronische Medien & Co. Diese Art der Ablenkung und die damit einhergehende Befriedigung ist jedoch eher kurzfristiger Natur. Mit der Zeit klopft sanft aber bestimmt die Langeweile ans Fenster und verlangt nach einer sinnstiftenden Betätigung. An diesem Punkt kommen Hobbys oder auch soziale Kontakte ins Spiel. Man will sich austauschen u/o ausleben. Mit anderen Menschen kommunizieren oder einer erfüllenden Freizeitaktivität nachgehen. Dieses Verlangen ist genau genommen auch eine Art von Stress. Neue Reize müssen her, damit dass entspannte System wieder in Erregung versetzt wird. Dieser Drang lässt sich der Kategorie „positiver Stress“ zuordnen. Der Unterschied zu einer stressigen Situation im Berufsalltag ist die intrinsische Motivation, welche den Stress verursacht. Man tut etwas weil man es aus seinem tiefsten inneren heraus möchte und weniger weil man es muss, um bspw. Geld für den Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen. 
Wir alle stressen uns Tag für Tag aufs neue. Die Frage ist nicht ob, sondern womit. Welche Art von Stress dominiert in deinem Leben, was macht dich glücklich und welchen Aufgaben möchtest du deine Lebenszeit widmen?

September is here, the holidays are over, the summer is coming to an end but it is still very pleasant ... for this new Natural Deep, we want to highlight a talented artist from our playlist. His name: Taleman. Hailing from Moscow, Timur Gabrilyan aka Taleman is a most interesting young producer on the Russian club scene, his productions have been released on labels like Delysid, Suprematic Sounds and Amulanga. In this September mix, we play two great tracks: "Hum" (6 min) and "Seven Seas" (27 min).

Biography:

Taleman is a DJ and electronic musician from Moscow. Since 2011, he started trying to compose music and play it. Works created by Timur, in a whole constellation of styles from deep to organic house, were released on various labels such as" Delysid "- a record Studio owned by American musician DAVI and "Suprematic Sound". Also in the collection of Timur there is an EP - album that was released on " Chuvstvo Ritma Rec.", and most recently there was a debut vinyl release on "Amulanga Rec".

since i'm not much of a desert person, this would probably be your only chance to see me connected to the burning man in some fashion. my alias is perrengue, but i have my limits. ANYWAYS i was really grateful to be invited together with @quackcoletivo to take part at IRUPÉ, one of the "stages" part of the MysticVerse, an immersive 3D experience on the virtual Black Rock City, part of the Burning Man 2020. this stage collected over 10 collectives from Brazil and Quack was responsible for the last night of the festival, and I was honored to be opening this special day with this slowly cooked downbeat psychedellic set, livestreaming from a friend's backyard on a delightful Sunday afternoon <3  it was great to be back to the 90bpm range, it's been a long time I don't play like that and really liked it. thanks for the crew at Quack (I love you all so much) and for the producers of IRUPÉ for the invitation, it was a blast and I didn't even need to eat dust for a week!  hope you all enjoy this set, lot's of love involved in this <3
