One day in 2007 we walked into Big Ship and met three of the hottest up and coming female artists out of Kingston, Jamaica – Timberlee, Natalie Storm and Tifa. It was right then and there that the idea was born to create what ended being one of the maddest mix CDs ever. Razor sharp lyrics combined with their hilarious antics made this an instant classic. Next up for EDWIN MUSIC CHANNEL, is producer, songwriter, and DJ @Gavsborg a member of the Jamaican recording and performance collective Equiknoxx, which has been active since 2015.

Together with his friends Shanique Marie, Time Cow, Bobby Blackbird, and Kemikal Splash, he injected his Dance-hall music particles via elements of field recordings, Hip-Hop, Soul, and Dub. Since 2017 Gavsborg, who currently resides in Berlin, Germany, has released solo music, elevating experimental Dancehall and Reggae to a new plateau, whilst using all the manifold electronic techniques, that modern music production brings along. You can hear Techno's traces in his music. Dub elements are all over the place and soothing rhythms fly high, without catering to the usual dance patterns.

"Ghetto Bird Saga 1” is the first EP in a series of experimental projects produced by German Producer Ghetto Vanessa on the Equiknoxx Music imprint. The four (4) track EP takes us on a sonic journey from experimental dancehall reggae to West African fusion, mixed with other Caribbean sounds. 
"Songs like 'Live You Nice' (Track 4) evoke sensations of riding a dolphin on the Caribbean Sea, drinking straight from a coconut under blue skies," says Ghetto Vanessa. 
"Ghetto Bird Saga 1" includes new vocals from rising Jamaican artiste, Alexx A-Game, existing vocals from Dancehall staple Aidonia and Ghanian MC Eeii Nation. 
The EP is complemented by the artwork of German, visual artist, Jonas Quest.
