Blame The Mono is the result of an uncompromising artistic encounter between two DJs and producers. As members of a new generation decided to push the boundaries of conventional techno, their productions offer forward-thinking sound design and strong stylistic identity through an important blend of influences.

Their signature usage of vocals combined with rich song arrangements and sometimes dark, sometimes euphoric moods, make their tracks diverse, yet they all remain fine tuned for peak-time chaos. The duo’s DJ sets present an explosive selection highlighting their love of digging and show their will to satisfy the hungriest and sweatiest dancefloors.

MFC Records is a fundraising label curated by BitterCaress based in Montreal. MFC Records' fourth release is a Single Artist EP by KORVN (@korvn), called Tidal Waves.

The EP is composed of 2 original tracks produced by KORVN, a collaboration between KORVN and URUBU as well as 2 remixes by AISHA and Lifka.

With this EP, KORVN aims to raise awareness about a cause that he defends and that is dear to his heart. We are talking here about climate emergency. He says: "As we go through periods of instability and tension, the climate emergency is too often not the primary objective despite representing a global threat requiring political commitments as important as it is a major issue. [...] It's a cause that touches me and that I want to defend with this EP".

The non for-profit organization supported for this release is the David Suzuki Foundation, that empowers people to take action in their communities on the environmental challenges we collectively face.

The potent 'Dirty Synth Rave' opens up D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s ‘Dirty Rave’ EP on Arkham Audio’s Arkham XXX offshoot with a searing mix of warped synth motifs, unrelenting drum pressure and bristling percussive energy. The German-born, Dortmund-based hard techno titan Per Pleks then remixes the track. His version is even more intense, with walls of rusty and rattling drums washing over the dance floor in waves. Dark sirens add edge as synths slash through the mix before Uncertain pairs things back with funky techno drums, skewed synth stabs and ice-cold hi-hats.

Then comes the brilliant 'Dirty Squat Rave', which is a throwback to the hard days of techno with its flat-footed kicks and menacing synths screwing their way through the mix. It's an uncompromising track that will sweep aside anything in its wake. Bristol's underground stalwart Joe Farr follows and reimagines the track, bringing plenty of swing to his loopy and captivating rework.

'Kids On Pills' is the final original from D.A.V.E. It's a turbulent peak-time banger with more industrial synth lines weaving through huge hi-hats and slamming drums. Lukas then remixes this one with even more urgency and a sense of synth terror.

D.A.V.E. The Drummer has had a huge hand in shaping the techno underground over the last 30+ years. He has done so with his Hydraulix, Apex, and Mutate To Survive record labels while releasing on a huge, tastemaking list of others. His experimental productions and high-impact DJ sets always leave destruction in their wake. From dark to hard, stripped back to acid-laced, he has done it all in his unique way with great success.
