Jeff Martin and Christine French pay tribute to our friend and colleague Tom Russell, who  passed away earlier this month.

Tom was not just the presenter of our Country Show and other shows on Erewash Sound. He was much more than that. He was valued director of our radio station. He was a active member of the community of Erewash. He was a talented singer songwriter. He was for years a member of the Erewash Musical Society and worked hard in local politics.

He have a real passion for music and especially country music.
He was a wonderful husband and Dad. 

We all miss him deeply at Erewash Sound and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Tribute to Erewash Sound's Tom Russell

Our very own David Allen was recently presented with an award from the Mayor of Erewash Cllr Sue Beardlsey. The award was in recognition for David’s 10 years of voluntary work at Erewash Sound and his work promoting local activities. Also his work with local theatre and the Erewash Musical Society.
