this song made me feel so many different emotions, i honestly cried on the first listen once - especially with Fred posting about "Growing around Grief" - it really made me feel things..... i almost immediately layed down this remix right after listening - super happy with how it turned out after really only a day or 2 of grinding this out... hello :) thanks for finding my song! clara was one of my FAVORITE tracks of Fred Again's - i was driving up from LA to SF and probably played this song over 30 times on the drive - i had most of the remix idea in my head already at that point - it took me like a day or 2 to get all the ideas down once i got to SF - the emotions from the vocals are just too much for me....i knew i had to put my own twist on it. super excited about how this turned out :)

Controversial Opinion: I think that the best types of chill electronic music are the ones without vocals (or occasionally instrumental versions). 

I believe that listening to non-vocal centered electronic music vs listening to vocal-centered electronic music is similar to the comparison people often make between reading a book and watching a movie: Books --much like non-vocal centered music-- activate the imagination and allow for your own mind to explore and build upon the body of work to near infinite interpretations; allowing each listen to potentially provide a unique experience. Movies, on the  other hand, limit the possibilities of mental imagination/exploration because of the presence of much more structure, and this is how I view vocal-centered music.

Rant over. 

For years Tycho has been at the top of my list for favorite chill electronic artists who also happens to make most of his songs without vocals. His popular songs like Coastal Brake, Hours, Elegy, Awake, and others have been my go-to stargazing and general zone out music choices for years. Still, every time I listen to them I feel like I'm being "spoken to" in a different manner, hence the idea behind the mix name and general inspiration for creating this mix.
