Multi-genre band of brothers who like to make tasty tunes!

Omaha South High School, Fine and Performing Arts Magnet has an abundance of music classes and ensembles:  Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Intermediate Band, Beginning Piano, Advanced Piano, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Handbells, Voice Class, Triple Trio, Mixed Chorus, Orchestra, Guitar, Mariachi, Brass Band, Music Theory, Music History & Appreciation, Music Technology, Advanced Music Technology.  We boast an addition to our school in the shape of a Recording Studio that is wired to 9 different rooms in our building(rooms anywhere from a large Auditorium, to a live big room, a dead big room, to smaller spaces, and even an isolated vocal booth all with different sets of acoustical treatments many which can be altered within seconds).  

The Music Technology classes cover everything from Digital Music Synthesis, Digital Composition, Music Production and Mixing, to Live Sound Reinforcement and Application.  These are the classes that use the Studio and our Production lab that hosts 20 individual workstations.  The some of the software we use is Pro Tools HD(Studio) and LE(lab), Logic, Digital Performer, Reason, Garageband, Audition, Audacity, and variety of plug-ins and sound banks.
