UK DJ/producer Dale Howard has been responsible for a steady stream of tougher-edged house records over the past few years, with a few of his biggest released on the Barcelona-based Suara Music, one of house and techno’s most eclectic, consistent and successful labels. Early next month, he’ll be returning to the label with the rather aptly titled Afterparty EP, and Insomniac is offering a first-listen premiere of what to expect.

Opening track “Deepa” sees Ramon plant his feet firmly on the techno floors with an incandescent relentless assault on the senses , pounding kicks and staggered rises pull you in as the industrial rhythms take the track to beyond madness with its filtered vocal drops. 

“Club Pirate” takes things into more tech house territory but still retains the heavy hitting club feel Ramon is renowned for. Again we are treated to a chopped vocal that meanders around a dark and hypnotic heavy kick workout. 

Closing the EP we enlist Vinicius Honorio to remix “Club Pirate” and he delivers a super charged electronic masterpiece akin to the sounds of Maceo Plex and the likes, a fine remix on a mighty fine debut from Ramon Tapia

Hot on the heels of his barnstorming remix for The Reactivitz, Joe Blake is right back where he belongs: Front and center on Respekt with a brand new EP.
'Code of Covenance' kicks things off with Joe's trademark dark atmospheres and detailed sound design, pairing edge-of-your-seat tension with serious dancefloor potential.
Next up is the melodically tinged 'You Are No Longer Alone', following the same MO as the lead track, but with a more introspective vibe. At this point, label cohort Gary Burrows jumps in to deliver a banging, raved up as only he knows how.
Rounding the package out, is the deeper, more progressive 'She's not anyone', perfectly showcasing Joe's range as a producer.
