Keyser Soze has an original ska/rocksteady sound with strong jazz and soul influences. The 8-piece ensemble was originally formed by Jammal Tarkington and Rodney Teague. With the success of their first two releases, "Who is Keyser Soze?" 
and "Revenge", the band has made a strong presence for themselves touring regularly throughout the west coast. The group’s addictive sound has placed them in the position to share the stage with some of the best drawing headliners, including Michael Franti, The Wailers, Ozomatli, The English Beat, Toots & the Maytals, Steel Pulse, The Skatalites and Burning Spear. In 2011, Keyser Soze is excited for the release of their new recording, "But Not For You". The album features several striking vocal performances delivered by Tarkington and Teague. The single, "Next To Me", has already received significant air-play on college radio stations and reggae radio shows across the nation. This new 10 song LP will be one of the most heavily promoted albums to date through video, file sharing sites, & relentless touring. Keyser Soze will be bringing their incomparable style & infectious live performances to summer festivals, scooter rallies, ska-fests, & professional venues across the globe.

After years of playing for others I decided to form a band out of a desire to play my own music. Stylistically, the songs are quite diverse ranging from Irish to Latin to Swing but by keeping to bluegrass instrumentation I feel that we have created a very cohesive sound. All the members of the band are not only musicians I look up to but they are also my friends. Included in the band is Ethan Ballinger- mandolin, Derek Pell- fiddle, Willy Dyer- banjo Charles Butler- dobro and Mike Rinne on bass. The album was tracked and mixed live by Bobby Holland. "Our slogan isn’t completely true,” says Wicked Saints lead singer Paul McCarty. "Some is slightly toxic.” Wicked Saints' music is a cool eclectic mix of styles – from folk-rock, americana, swampy Louisiana grooves to reggae styled pop/blues, a driving beat, or sweet and heartfelt.

Our second album, Don't Kill The Blackbird, is complete and out with 13 tracks. It was co-produced by Paul McCarty and Brad Swanson at Brad's studio, Swansound Recording in Woodland Hills, CA (which has neither woodlands nor hills but is otherwise quite nice.)
