Risen from Istanbul’s underground in 2016, Anatolian Sessions is conquering the scene with his signature style, a dreamful blend of Anatolian music, eclectic and spiritual elements and electronic music. His music caught the interest of imprints such as Akumandra, Art Vibes Music, Buddha-Bar, Pipe & Pochet or Souq Records.

Today the restless producer and DJ has made his clear mark in Istanbul’s deep house scene and started with first international appearances. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

So, for this 158th edition we're having again his irresistible production and now getting to know more about his selection, nevertheless, this time with a long session of two hours. Today we welcome a true storyteller behind the Schirmchendrink counter: DERSU honors Schirmchendrink with his sensational cocktail named “Between the Sheets”!

It was many months back when we got in contact and first listened one of DERSU’s sets. This one was called Africa. As fans of beautifully crafted DJ mixes it was clear that we wanted him on the show.  

DERSU is a creative mastermind telling stories trough film, animation, design, and music. His career led him from sports apparel design to art, film and music. He discovered his passion for the latter as creator of Witness This, an art and culture magazine. 

His most recent projects include NightCause, a monthly dance party on the West side of L.A. where 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity, and, Wish You Were Here, a daytime party series in Venice Beach. He also is one half of the duo Peace in Noise.

Between the Sheets covers many emotions and moods, it's deep and taps into a more industrial and minimal berlin sound, with touches of spiritual and also very heart filling anthems near the end. 

You can literally tap into the emotions as it’s reflecting DERSU’s personal journey as of lately: challenging, scary, dark while also being incredibly beautiful, expansive and light.

SOLOMUN | DIYNAMIC | AUDIO OBSCURA | DJ Set October 2019

Geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin fand mobit die Leidenschaft zum Techno und der Szene in Clubs wie dem Sisyphos, Bucht und Kater Blau. Die Idee Selbst aufzulegen kam ihm eines Nachts in einer Bar irgendwo in Thailand, als er zwei Backpacker beobachtete die gerade die Bar betreten hatten, direkt zum Barkeeper gingen und fragten „Hi there, we are DJ´s. Can we play music here?“. Der Barmann zuckte mit seinen Schultern und sagte „why not“. Kurz darauf packten die beiden reisenden einen kleinen Controller samt Laptop aus und fingen an Techno zu spielen.
Einige Telefonate und Tage später befand sich mobit´s eigener kleiner Controller in der Post auf dem von Berlin nach Bangkok. Inspiriert und motiviert reiste er mehrere Monate durch Süd Ost Asien und spielte in sämtlichen Bars und Beach Festivals, denen er auf seinem Weg begegnete.
Zurück in Berlin entschloss er sich eine eigene Veranstaltungsreihe ins Leben zu rufen, um dort regelmäßig auflegen zu können. Nach einem Jahr und mehreren erfolgreichen Partys, gründet er Anfang 2019 zusammen mit gleichgesinnten das Event Label Katzenjammer. Das frischgegründete Label hat im ersten Jahr bereits 10 Club Events in Deutschland veranstaltet und schon viele weitere in Planung. 
mobit´s Sound reicht von Progressive House über melodischen- bis hin zu hartem Techno. Der Stil und die Intensität seiner Sets richten sich dabei stark nach Playtime, Location und dem Publikum. Ob nun 120bpm Progressive House oder 130bpm kompromissloser Techno, seine Sets sind stets geprägt von einem durchgehend vorwärtstreibenden Sound. Typische Merkmale bei seiner Track Auswahl sind Percussions wie Klanghölzer und Cowbells, vereinzelte Vocals oder markante Melodien.

BIOGRAPHY 

Eric Small (NO)

A true veteran of the electronic underground, Eric Small has been shaping the scene for more than three decades. DJ, producer, and founder of Small Records (Oslo), his sound flows seamlessly between techno, house, and minimal—always with a deep groove and timeless energy.

Eric’s musical journey began back in 1986, and he quickly made a name for himself as Small MC with the legendary rap crew Warlocks. In 1993 he co-founded Valuable Scamps, who famously opened for Naughty By Nature at Oslo Spektrum—becoming the first rap group ever to perform on that iconic stage.

By the early 90s, his love for house and techno took over, and from 1991 onward it became his artistic home. Since then, Eric has performed at some of the most important club destinations worldwide—Ibiza, Miami (WMC), Berlin, Barcelona (Off Sonar), Andorra (Horizon Festival), Gran Canaria (Space residency, 1997)—bringing his raw and hypnotic sets to thousands of dancers.

In 2009, he co-created Grooveyard Festival with Frederico Fiasco, which ran successfully until 2012, closing with a powerful edition at Latter, Aker Brygge, featuring heavyweights like Pig & Dan, Martin Dawson (RIP), M.E.M.O, and Attaboy.

On stage, Eric often teams up with his wife and DJ partner Carina Helen. Together they’ve brought explosive energy to clubs and festivals across Europe—rocking crowds in Spain, Andorra, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, Denmark, Berlin, and of course, Ibiza.

Eric is also the creative force behind Apodyopsis, a live project with Mudman, Jacob Rypdal (guitar), and Mads Con Sax (saxophone). Known for their electrifying performances and cutting-edge remixes, Apodyopsis has reworked international artists like Oblique Industries and Gee Van D.

As co-owner and booker of Elefant Club (2016–2018), Eric helped transform the historic Skansen venue in Oslo into a hotspot for electronic music, curating unforgettable nights and hosting world-class artists.

Over the years, Eric Small has shared the booth with some of the scene’s biggest names—John Digweed, Damian Lazarus, Matt Tolfrey, Christian Burkhardt, SLG, Oxia, Pig & Dan, M.A.N.D.Y.—proving time and again why he remains a trusted selector and respected figure in global electronic culture.
