Started this one at a quick old tempo to cram in a few new bits from me, then took things down, then up, then down again - for that is the Funkier sounds way. All sorts of genres covered too… for that is the Funkeir Sounds way! 

Anyway, hour 2 was a lovely treat - I welcomed Ben Adams AKA GMGN. UK born but based out in Boston these days, I’ve been a fan of Ben’s mixes and productions for a while now. He was the guest when I stood in for Pete Ellison’s Friday lunchtime show a while back and his mix was a proper journey, and that’s what prompted me to ask him to be on my show. Well, he’s delivered another fantastic journey, starting things off slow and slinky, moving through the funky gears, even sneaking in one of mine along the way.

Dimitri Part Duex: (From Paris Back to Hoochie)

Javi Frias is an artist devoted to the culture of disco. 
His musical journey began when he started collecting funky records as a young soul boy in his hometown of Madrid. 
Now he travels the world, spreading love, and rocking parties, through his eclectic DJ sets full of sultry disco edits, boogie bombs, and soulful house sounds. 
As a producer, he has recently started making noise with a series of impressive edits and reworks, which have been published on a handful of EPs and singles with influential labels including Street Edits, Tropical Disco, Midnight Riot, and Boogie Café. 
His music has been supported by disco heavyweights such as Danny Krivit, Red Greg, Horse Meat Disco, Jacques Renault and Dave Lee, whom he has also shared the decks with at his own famed Discotizer parties. 
Connecting all the disco dots, Javi also has his own label ‘Night Shift Records’ where he has predominantly released a series of his own club ready re-edits, as well as working with Never Dull, Delfonic, Solazz and Chassé.
