The Widdler is a leading figure in what has been deemed the "Deep Dub Renaissance."  Born in Tel Aviv and now living in Austin, The Widdler has been playing and producing music since he was 10. He has shared stages with contemporaries such as Beats Antique, GJones, Rakim, and Tipper. His organic, melodic, tribal and otherworldly sounds are challenging the paradigm in the dub step community.  Avoiding stereotypical dubstep drops, The Widdler opts instead for crescendos that soothe and invigorating drops leave you feeling cleansed.  

Channelling a shamanic approach to bass dub fusion, "Ogo" melds sounds from both past and future; communicating with wobbly booms and sparkling arpeggios what could be an audio essay on evolution. Vibes on this EP range from a minimal, almost bubbly interpretation of dubs in tracks like Space Balloon and Lobster Trap, to spooky beats that slither and sink deep in the title track Ogo.

His new EP ‘Submerse’ takes us on a deep odyssey to faraway lands in space and time. The opening track ‘Wilmer’ takes the middle east into a timewarped, psychedelic abyss of twisting bass and glitched out sultry vocal manipulations. The title track opens with vaporwave overtones and takes that retro Synth Pop groove and drops it into a jungle of beautiful chaos, psychedelia and creepy animals from other dimensions. Lastly, ‘Cold Reality’ gets dank in a machine laden and menacing piece of composition and lets the evil out with mechanical precision. Take a trip with us into the darkness.
