This piece was created as a reminder of how many of us loose sight of the hopes, dreams... the lives we envisioned for our future selves, as children. 

This piece is a reminder... admittedly, we could have had our dreams and goals jaded or dashed by "the realities of life" or by those within our lives who chose to "program us" with their severely antiquated, entrained thinking and mindsets of what happiness, true joy, and success "should, could, or would" mean... if ONLY we would "do as they say" or "pay them to teach us how to fit into THIER boxes." (They'll later change those boxes... as soon as we fit into them, of course!) But, at some point, we can realize the error of our living into those "entrained people-pleasing ways," and acknowledge we still can take the steps to live into the hopes, dreams, and goals that always innately spoke to us as children... and continue to speak to us, if we are willing to BE quiet and still enough to listen to the voice within that was silenced so long ago. The voice that continues to be told (by the unenlightened, by those still living into their very well-trained "we must look, act, speak, and conduct ourselves in the manner we were trained to conform always... and never, ever question or deviate from the 'sanctioned ways...'") to sit down and shut up... because it ruffles the feathers of those who've been trained to keep their wings bound and unfurled... to NEVER fly free and above the "permitted boundaries" to potentially see the most BEautiful views of the world below. 

The time we have to live is never guaranteed... tick... tock... tick... ding... dong... ding. Are we going to continue to wait for others who restricted their own living for the sake of DOing to HAVE only what was PERMITTED... who "in the end" give it all back to those ten percenters who conned them into working in physically, emotionally, or spiritually toxic environments, denied access to them, etc... to "give their permission" or approval to us... or are we willing to sing out "ENOUGH..." as we awaken that little voice within us and forge a different, more inclusive, expansive, healthier mindset and path forward? I/we say... "Never again will we BE silenced by those who chose to live and cower in fear, who've accepted 'what is dictated or only options freely and easily provided must be true' vs OUR inquisitive, continuously learning and growing mindset!" Let your Inner Child PLAY!

A former San Francisco 49er Offensive Lineman, Eric now composes and produces music in the epic, cinematic, and ambient genres. His compositions are, by design, ultra melodic and follow a hybrid orchestral style similar to film composers Hans Zimmer and James Horner, and epic cinematic artist Two Steps From Hell.

Eric lives in Austin, TX, with his wife Emily and their two young daughters, both aspiring musicians :)
