Hey, in fact, I'm walking through a park of thoughts right now. Spatially maybe here in my environment, but I feel so close to your walk. Left, right, above me birds are chirping, people are walking towards each other smiling. One uses the park to do sports, the other to give his dog a run. And then there's the single mom who leaves her child in the stroller to the wonderful sounds of nature. Eric, fascinating soundscapes, amazing inspirations, carping with everything that fruits me. This is a song that I wrote and shared with Josh last spring. We worked on it for several months. Originally, it was just acoustic guitar and some vocals. To that, Josh added some mandolin, thinking it would stay that way. However, I ruminated on the initial raw version, surprising Josh by adding the rhythm section and better recordings of my parts after the fact. Josh came up with the high harmony towards the end, which blew me away and was the catalyst for a vision to flesh this idea out as best we could. We always have a lot of fun playing together as our tastes and references are very much aligned. We have been making music together almost since we both joined SoundCloud and found each other there about two years ago. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed making it.
As a side personal note, I only wish we had extended the song, which maybe I can get Josh in on that idea. I do like the short and sweet version that leaves you wanting to hear more, but I digress.
~Josh IS the hub and catalyst of this and any great track we collab on! The force is surely strong with this great virtuoso and aficionado! Those that know, know. ❤️

STRANGE

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
If you can't spot a trend in my current likes it may be because it is diverse. I love listening to all my playlists which contain tracks that I like and if you like any of the music you must thank the artists not me.

A former San Francisco 49er Offensive Lineman, Eric now composes and produces music in the epic, cinematic, and ambient genres. His compositions are, by design, ultra melodic and follow a hybrid orchestral style similar to film composers Hans Zimmer and James Horner, and epic cinematic artist Two Steps From Hell.

Eric lives in Austin, TX, with his wife Emily and their two young daughters, both aspiring musicians :)
