Among the many awards and honours bestowed upon him are six GRAMMYs, including a GRAMMY Legend award, a Tony and two Oscars, a Best British Male Artist BRIT Award, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Kennedy Center Honor, Legend of Live Award, 13 Ivor Novello Awards between 1973 and 2001 and a knighthood from HM Queen Elizabeth II for “services to music and charitable services.” 
Elton was awarded the Companion of Honour in the 2020 New Year Honours list. The highest acknowledgement in the list, Elton became one of only 64 people to hold the honour.

Amanda nació en Gaiman, provincia del Chubut, en la Patagonia, Argentina. A los cuatro años, aprendió a tocar el piano líricamente. Al cumplir 16 años se muda a Buenos Aires para estudiar en el Conservatorio Alberto Williams hasta recibirse de Profesora de Teoría y Solfeo y Profesora Superior de Piano, y Composición. También estudió canto con la afamada profesora Liana Lecuona.

En marzo de 1975 Amanda conoció en Buenos Aires a Diego Verdaguer, quien se convertiría en el amor de su vida. Para ese entonces, Diego ya era un exitoso cantautor. Diego, al escuchar su voz, decidió invitarla a participar como corista de sus presentaciones en Argentina, donde también estaba la cantante Valeria Lynch. Con él realizó una gira en toda Latinoamérica, incluyendo México, país del cual Amanda se enamoró.

En 1978, Diego Verdaguer decide producirle sus primeras grabaciones a Amanda y lanzó al mercado su primer sencillo "Papá cuando regreses”. En 1980, Amanda graba su segundo sencillo titulado "Así no te amará jamás", mismo con el que consigue ubicarse en el primer plano internacional por su estilo interpretativo único, desgarrador y diferente. “Así no te amará jamás” vendió más de 20 millones de sencillos en todos los países de habla hispana.

Motivado por la buena aceptación de ventas Diego decide grabarle a Amanda su primer disco, "El Sonido Volumen 1" donde incluye su segundo sencillo "Él me mintió”, el cual tuvo una impactante trascendencia internacional. En ese primer disco también están incluídos los éxitos "Quiero un amor total", "Mi buen corazón", "Hagamos un trato", “¿Quién será?”, "Donde brilla el sol", "Siempre te amaré" y "Amanda al piano 1”. Con su primer disco, Amanda vendió más de tres millones de copias, convirtiéndose en una de las artistas femeninas más vendedoras del siglo.

En marzo de 1981, Amanda grabó "El Sonido Volumen II”, desl cual se desprendieron los éxitos "Castillos", "Como un Títere”, “Cosquillas en el pecho” y "A mi amiga ", colocándose inmediatamente en los primeros lugares de popularidad y ventas.

En octubre de 1983 graba su tercera producción discográfica, "El Sonido Volumen III”. Los temas “Dudas”, “Las pequeñas cosas” y ”El gato y yo” se convierten nuevamente en éxitos, mientras Amanda estaba en la dulce espera de su hija Ana Victoria, a quien le dedica la canción "Canción de cuna al revés”. En febrero de 1985 se presentó en el Festival Internacional Viña del Mar. Dos meses después, participó en el proyecto Hermanos, interpretando el tema “Cantaré, cantarás” al lado de artistas como Roberto Carlos, Plácido Domingo, Vikki Carr, José Feliciano, Vicente Fernández, Celia Cruz, Julio Iglesias, Rocío Jurado y José José, entre otros.

On that note, Mochakk also released the huge single ‘Jealous’ with Circoloco Records, alongside his killer remixes of Groove Armada’s ‘Superstylin’’ and Diplo’s ‘Express Yourself’. 2023 also saw the launch of his Tricks And Tracks event series, merging his love of skateboarding with electronic music for a unique party. Elsewhere, his Mochakk Calling events have sold out at every worldwide location so far. At the end of 2023 he was named by both Amazon Music and Spotify Mint as Artist to Watch in 2024, wrapping up a hugely successful 2023 with the promise of an even bigger year ahead...
