The Medicine Wheel

Mary's song of joy about her pregnancy, while at the house of her cousin Elizabeth.  Also known as the Song of Mary and the Canticle of Mary and, in the Byzantine tradition, the Ode to the Theotokos. It is one of the eight most ancient Christian hymns and perhaps the earliest Marian hymn.

Who am I ?

A very old tune, probably from Irish origin but also sung and played in Scotland. It has become a standard for many singers so I've chosen a different way by recording an instrumental version with my Scottish bagpipe.

Un très vieil air celtique, probablement irlandais à la base mais qui est aussi de tradition écossaise. Il est devenu un standard pour beaucoup de chanteurs : j'ai choisi de vous le faire entendre d'une autre façon en vous proposant une version instrumentale, enregistrée avec ma cornemuse écossaise.

Welcome on my Soundcloud page! So, I play bagpipes, bombards, Irish whistles, and sing in English, French and Breton.
