I think this song tells the story of a little journey about a small boy taking their younger sibling to come along and discover the world together... or something.

In any case, it's a bit of musical exploration using a strung-together stream of loose bits (this was the intention), creating a kind of jazzy feel, going somewhere somewhat randomly using a fluid rhythm, but always coming back to the base chord of G (or more often, G7).

It's slightly on the long side, but I didn't want to throw any part away. I think this song can handle its length :) I'm quite happy with it.

Harpist Remy van Kesteren (Zeist, 1989) kreeg dit jaar de Nederlandse Muziekprijs, de hoogste onderscheiding voor een klassiek geschoolde musicus. Hij deed (kort) mee aan Wie is de Mol?, bracht een cd uit waarop hij zich voor het eerst als componist laat gelden, en organiseerde voor de vierde keer zijn eigen harpfestival. Een gesprek met een harpist op zoek naar vrijheid.
