If you meet DJ Kevin Barnett, a couple things are clear: 1) that Kevin is a dreamer, and 2) that Kevin has a case of ADD. In fact, a severe case of ADD. He is always high energy, always doing a thousand things at once and always coming up with new ideas.

It all started back in the day. As a child, Kevin used to lie in bed and bang his head on the pillow and wall for hours. What exactly he heard and was doing is still unknown. His parents thought he was crazy, but it was clear KB wanted to rock - and make his mark.

Growing up in Chicago, he was exposed to electronic music in one of the key house music origins.  (Chicago) Then Kevin moved to Miami to go to the University of Miami to study Marketing.  While in Miami, Kevin worked as a model / actor, but after finishing school, it was clear that Kevin’s true love was music and his ambition was to become a DJ / music producer.  

Kevin’s DJ career begin in Miami and he quickly gained a strong resume & reputation in Miami that included a residence at Mansion (Sunday – Miami Bitch party), Blue2o (Wednesdays @ Blue), Regular stops at Nocturnal, and various other Miami club destinations such as Suite, Mynt, Prive, an Nikki Beach.

Chicago and Miami began Kevin’s career, but his next step was to try and take his career abroad, international. Internationally, Kevin has played throughout Europe, various places in Mexico, Canada, Central America, South America, and many more places.  

In recent years, he has spent a particular amount of time in his favorite foreign country, Brazil.  In the past years Kevin has had residences in the top places in Brazil including Mynt (Sao Paulo – 2007 - 2008), Confraria (Florianopolis), Miroir (Rio De Janeiro), and many other top places.  Also, Kevin has got to play some of the best clubs in Brazil which are some of his favorites in the world, including Sirena (Maresias), Green Valley (Balneiro Camburiu), Anzu (itu), Pacha, Kiss n’ fly, an many more of Brazil’s top clubs.

With a list of creative projects, including ADD (ADDictive DJ Designs) Kevin’s new music themed clothing line, Kevin’s next steps are sure to exciting (an ADD!).  His remix / production  resume has quickly grew including hit remixes of Queen – we will rock you & Another one bites the dust, Don’t you want me – Are we human League remix, Adele – someone like you (rolling in the acid remix), Midnight Oil – Beds are burning remix, The Who – Baba O’riley remix, Led Zeppelin – black Dog remix, and already scheduled for 2013 are remixes of Joan Jett, - I love Rock n’Roll, Ac/Dc – Thunderstruck, plus many more remixes and original songs.   Kevin is poised for success - that is, if he can sit still long enough to let it catch him.
