Julian Jeweil returns with a generous five-track EP continuing his stellar 2017. 

Following on from his ‘Rolling’ EP that dropped in January and featured the outstanding ‘Blue’, an early contender for one of the strongest tracks of the year, Julian Jeweil drops the crisp intergalactic techno trip ‘Space’

The EP begins in stunning fashion with title track ‘Space’, driven by stirring vocal effects that build up tremendously, later giving way to a punchy acid-laced climax. ‘South’ follows, a low-end tour de force. ‘Answer’ is already familiar to fans after it featured on DCR368 Live from Loveland and the track is a rousing peak-time weapon propelled by subterranean stabs. ‘Encke’ is deliciously mind-bending, led by heavy bass and distorted effects, before ‘Module’ follows providing a groovier, but no less powerful contrast.

Having caught the ears of Techno’s great and good with their recently released Custom Illusion EP, Manic Brothers return to the Drumcode stable with this two-track release for Drumcode Ltd. Continuing the elegantly industrial aesthetic of the Custom Illusion EP, Komplex comes over dreamlike but purposeful with its linear groove and melodic washes morphing through subtle progressions as the intensity is steadily tweaked upwards. Soul Connection goes for a more in-your-face approach on the flip with resounding pads echoing each other to create a distinctive groove that is driven along on a perpetual wave of slamming beats.

The year is about to end, but not before presenting the B4 Podcast made exclusively by Luigi Madonna, who delivers a delicious session of sharp and absorbing techno music.

Hailing from Caserta near Napoli and now living in Amsterdam, Luigi is a heavyweight of the techno scene. He’s had consistent releases on Drumcode Records, as well as other well known labels like Plus 8, Second State, Redimension. You can usually catch him playing the biggest festivals across the globe such as Awakenings, Ultra Miami and Sonus - to name just a few, in addition to legendary clubs sus as Fabric, Watergate and Amnesia. His releases get regular air time and mentions from the scenes biggest hitters, with most DJ’s adding many of Luigi’s records to their collections.

This session is a dialogue that flows and persuades, sweeping the listener along. Throughout these meticulously constructed 60 minutes, Luigi Madonna integrates classic, dark and groovy techno beats with driven and industrial sounds.
