BASED ON: A folk melody that has been used for a lot of songs since the 1700-hundreds, so it’s kind of hard to tell where it’s actually from.

It’s my birthday today! So here’s an arrangement that I did earlier this year of the traditional birthday song from Sweden. Since this version doesn’t include the lyrics it feels a bit overkill to translate them, but the gist of it is hoping that whoever has their birthday today is going to live for 100 years. And then when they’ve lived that long they’ll be pushed around in a wheelbarrow for some reason. Fun times.

Made in FamiTracker 0cc, using the 2A03, VRC6, and MMC5 modules. No DPCM samples used.

I've had this thing finished for several months but never bothered to upload it, so I thought it'd be neat to have it up for christmas so yea, cool.

This is mostly just me using the Shovel Knight instruments to create an arrangement, I took most of my inspiration from The Betrayer obviously tho the intro uses some instruments from Flowers Of Antimony, but yeah a lot of it is just me dicking around till I thought I had something that sounded neat so it's not supposed to be like a perfect 1 to 1 with any specific Shovel Knight track lol.

One of my favorite 90s hits, now as an NES-styled jam! I started working on this a couple of days ago and actually already uploaded it as an unfinished project, so here's the finished version, now with verses and a few little tweaks to make it sound more spot on.

Made using a Winebottled version of FamiTracker on a MacBook Pro. I had a lot of fun making this, as 50s doo-wop is one of my favorite genres of music- and this is one of my favorite songs in that genre! I'm really proud of it as well, as the backing chord harmonies are a lot more rhythmically complex than a lot of my previous 8-bit covers. I created the thumbnail image using a crappy online image editor, and the custom Mario sprites were also made by me. My roommates called me this one day when I knocked the power out to microwave something, crashing (and breaking) Storm Blooper's computer and hindering Double-Gengar's progress in Fallout 3. This one goes out to them. Then there's the SMB2 part, because I'm a Shyguy and all.
