Even the worst of times can get better...with time. Featuring the wonderful vocals of Sabrina Miele, ("Sabrina Miele" on SoundCloud) and Shaels gorgeous, weeping steel guitar, "The Worst is Over" is a remake of our first recorded song, produced by Shael Wrinch at Stone Hill studios on beautiful Bowen Island. Lyrics:

Pour une fois, j'évoque un souvenir d'enfance avec mon arrière grand-père que j'ai bien connu, quand il nous emmenait regarder passer les trains sur un pont de chemin de fer. Ce n'est pas volontairement mélo,  c'était une chanson que je devais réaliser avec un membre de ma famille, mais on n'a jamais trouvé le temps. Je l'ai dépoussiérée et réenregistrée.

Something different this time, lots of vocals and beautiful samples from Dream pop (producer loops) turned out nicely in this production. really cool. worked together with Wim G. I especially had a lot of fun with this track.

The second track I have done with The Gatsbys and it’s always a pleasure to be asked to collaborate.
Dirk sent me the instrumental and like before I was blown away by his guitar work & melody.
I contributed the lyrics and vocal melodies to this.
It was an honour that he used Nothing left to defend on his latest album Cancel the winter.
So to be asked again was always going to be a yes. 
The  Gatsbys always create that live indie band sound on final recordings  especially with Bens percussion work. 
I hope you enjoy the track as I enjoyed singing on it.
