Last Thanksgiving diva and I returned to the MyOasis weekend campout for some outdoor dancing and shenanigans! We were scheduled next to each other so we decided to tag for a while in the middle because we always have so much fun when we do. 
Even though it was barely above freezing we managed to pull people away from the fire a while to get down with us!

54 To The Floor (Disco& Funk)

We are starting a series of guest mixes spotlighting various artists outside of the Bay Area and kicking it off with a guest mix from Tampa Bay's InterCom (@intercom-dj).

Intercom has pulverized dancefloors from coast to coast with his unique brand of impious vibrations since 1999. Stupefying crowds from Black Rock City to Lakes of Fire, Intercom’s influence on the Burning Man music community has stretched from memorable performances at the Freakeasy and Hookahdome to those at Dewie Decibels and Gon Kirin. In Detroit, Intercom spent years leaving audiences in a pile of their own excrement during monthlies for SanctumFM. Also pairing his caliginous vibe quite appropriately with the devils and ghouls at Theatre Bizarre, where he has performed since prior to the inception of their mainstream epoch. 

Intercom has opened for and supported such belligerence powerhouses as Deekline, Keith Mackenzie, Stanton Warriors, Freq Nasty and Radiohiro.

Here's what he had to say about the mix: 
"The space cowboys have been a continual inspiration musically and it's an honor to have the opportunity to be featured by them.

Hay Girl Hay

Starting in the misty past of the last century, Erik was taken to a party that he rather enjoyed, which started a habit of having way too much fun dancing to really loud music in unlikely places. Not too long after that first party, he had his own sound system, and carted it all over the deserts, forests and warehouses of southern california to help give other people loud music to dance to. While doing that, he noticed that DJs were having a lot of fun, and figured he should give it a shot. More than a decade after first getting behind the decks, he's still at it, with most of what he plays now falling somewhere in the giant and wonderful family tree of House music. Exactly which branch depends on where and when, but basslines are always key, funk is essential, and a little melody now and then never hurt anyone.
