Born and raised in Eindhoven — 1990s Dutch acid/techno nerve center and main hub for receiving and transmitting incoming Chicago and Detroit signals out over the European continent — Oscar Wyers learned the specifics of techno at an early age, by just naturally picking up the vibe, enjoying Djax Up Beats on his Fisher Price walkman.   
            As he moved along in life, the undying, electric pulse of the Atlantic coast beeped and thumped on inside him.    
            By the time Wyers set up Oggy Records (2010s in his now home town of Berlin) and began to transmit, the signal had morphed into something new. A cluster of morse-like, constantly rearranging funky code had accumulated around the echo of the transoceanic throb.   
            Experiencing Wyers’ interpretation of the funk is like hearing a future dialect of your native tongue after waking up from 200 years of cryosleep. You feel pleasantly at home in the flow of the dialogue but your ears work full time, your brain constantly translating the puzzle!

Ydinontelo / Hollow Core are Pekka and Julius Jääskeläinen –– the guitar twins of Finland’s main weirdo rock export, Circle –– channeling the music of our future. At the base of the project is a vision of a fully automated scifi world. One in which the bubbles of work and spare time, art and entertainment, rock, the blues and punk have burst and vansihed, their perimeters erased. Jules Verne’s idea of a world within a hollow world, populated by prehistoric monsters, has been overturned: in the cracks and cavities of the restraining walls that divide our modern world, lives a happy future full of joy, waiting to burst out and blossom.
Fittingly Erikoisdance will release Hollow Core’s debut album on CDr; a utopian technology allowing virtually endless editions of a soundwork to be manufactured and distributed, as indistinguishably perfect copies, utlizing equipment readily available in nearly every average home.
