The road the professor had chosen grew darker and grimmer. Occasional flickers of light ran across his face twisted in an unreadable grimace, half from the drizzle, half from some inner strain. Eventually, the narrow alleys led them to an abandoned building. Its worn-down walls seemed more suited for rituals than for an honest conversation. The drizzle turned into heavy rain, leaving them no choice but to seek shelter inside. Shaking off the water, Cat was looking around when a faint silhouette flashed through one of the doorways. Spacelunch’s hand slowly reached into his pocket.

“You okay, Doc?”
“Looks like your feline instincts have taken a day off. The road is paved, fluffy.”
“What? Road to where?”
“To hell. Say goodbye, idiot.”

A gun stared straight into his trusting eyes. The cold metal seemed to whisper that the warmth of friendship was about to fade away, too.

Our next release is from Barcelona based artist Alex Alarcón, who has been recording as Sustainer since 2003. His work has appeared on labels such as Italic, Thinner, Enypnion and most recently the digital album 'Radiolas' on Room 40.
His sound is built around harmonic Ambient drones and in 'Taps', we are proud to present a short album of liquiform pieces which started life as tonal household objects, woven into a watery tapestry.

During the recording process, Alex searched for every resonant object in his home and found that metal, ceramic and crystal items were of particular use. These were struck with rubber-textile mallets and fed into a loop pedal via contact mics. Once these sounds and tones were collected, they were then carefully polished into fluid timbres, using various techniques.
He strived to create a record made entirely from the sounds of his environment, using his home as an instrument. He wanted to create textures that reflected the peace of home which could only be achieved there, since outdoor field recordings can be so noisy at times.

The final body of work serves as a wonderfully distant yet intimate soundtrack which is best enjoyed inside. Allow the dissolved melting pot of the various 'taps' to flow slowly; a viscous landscape for quiet contemplation.

I've been producing electronic Music since 1998,  Primarily focusing on Underground Techno, be it  Dub Techno or 90's style IDM music, Most of my tracks are rather Chilled out Ambient but I also love to do more upbeat raw Techno.  I prefer more Abstract styles as opposed to Pop or dance music.  In my early days I made a lot of IDM,  Experimental,  Acid Techno.  Though at this point my sound is generally more Chilled out and Ambient.  I started making music at age 7 When I started piano lessons but by age 13 I Picked up guitar as well.  

I played guitar for along time and played in bands here and there but didn't really start to produce music until about 1997-99  When I got my hands on a copy of FL Studio.  
Thus my career in Music production using computers and Midi hardware began.  I have created over 400 Tracks since then lol.  

I wouldn't trade doing this for anything!  I never would have expected to have built such a large following here!  In the end I am also a listener and fan myself though. As well as being an avid Music collector and still believe in buying a Cd on occasion too ;)  

I have made so many friends here on the cloud and I will say this is the best Music community there is online period.  

I sincerely appreciate all comments and feedback!  I still can't believe the amazing support I have gotten on here.  I do seriously try and listen to as many fellow soundcloud artists Tracks as I can.  And If I don't get to yours Please don't hesitate to PM your work!  I love listening to Music what can I say it is my passion and has gotten me through so many difficult times in my life!  

I know that this is a community of artists and I am not here to Just promote my work.  This site is great for making friends and supporting some amazingly talented people as well.  Musicians that deserve to be noticed.  The amount of Talent on this site is just mind boggling and I do my best to support my friends here in the soundcloud community!
