Mountain passes

Recorded on August 22, 1981 at the first Milwaukee Irish Fest, these tracks are from the Traditional Irish Music Workshops presented at the festival. These were recorded on cassette tape by Dave Sergeant. 

The Flute and Tin Whistle Workshop featured Charlie Coen, Frankie Gavin, and Tim Britton discussing and demonstrating flute and whistle in Irish music.

The full access copy brings together the entire workshop on one digital file.

I have had the joy of making bamboo flutes for 49 years and have handmade over 150,000 wind instruments. It has been an adventure making flutes in Mexico, Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Hawaii, Costa Rica and Fiji, where I got to play for their President. May my music bring you peace and joy.
