Here's an upbeat poppy instrumental dance track originally recorded for my "Startime" album & now remixed for an upcoming compilation. It's meant to drum up scenes of a romance at a carnival.. 

The samples contained are from "Georgy Girl" by The Seekers, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Valli, and "Heartbeat, It's A Lovebeat" by the DeFranco Family

A 15 year old customer called Juan came over with his drum. I wanted to record a sample of my Medium Arabian flute. Not knowing what to call it, I just listened again and it seemed to flow. Thus the name, Water in the Desert. Thanks Juan!

I recorded these samples on a recent trip to Scotland...this track contains nothing else but Scottish water from Campbeltown in Kintyre and Uig in Skye poured into my Mac. There is no EQ added, just a little reverb and delay for depth, a touch of limiter for smoothness...this track mixed itself and is free of additives and artificial flavourings. Just water.

I played the Balaban (duduk) , a persian flute and added some synth elements to Vinnys great backround. Naturaly the try too, to combine traditional with modern sounds. Michael

The flute version of the famous bhajan that Mahatma Gandhi liked, Vaishnav Janato...I had played this for my senior(kamalesh sir)  whose parents love this song. The Iron Horse is a Scottish Celtic music band formed in 1990. During the '90s the band, along with others, broadened Celtic music from its traditional roots to the wider range of music now encompassed within the Celtic music genre. From slow airs and ballads to driving instrumentals, they wrote and performed a broad spectrum of Scottish folk music. Though the band split up in 2001, they reunited in 2004 for another album.
