A 15 year old customer called Juan came over with his drum. I wanted to record a sample of my Medium Arabian flute. Not knowing what to call it, I just listened again and it seemed to flow. Thus the name, Water in the Desert. Thanks Juan!

Went out last night and 3:08 AM to enjoy my "Japanese Garden" and walked by the fountain and heard a bird nearby singing his heart out. Grabbed my Oriental Flute in Carbon Fiber and created this song. Enjoy, Erik

Hallelujah Bird

While recording this improvisation in a studio, I had a vision. I was walking into a giant heavenly palace. With a huge crowd of people on either side from different times, in different clothings, people of different colors, tall to short and they all looked at me with a gentle smile. They nodded their heads and greeted me, as i walked on a carpet to the one that sat on a thrown. It was amazing! The one who sat on the thrown was Jesus and He still lives in my heart.

Mountain Pass

Ta-iho Chiku was the Japanese name of the bamboo I use. This deeper model is a new flute for us, inspired by the ancient Japanese Koto scale. Music seems to tell a story and in my mind it felt like our Japanese flutemaking bamboo was deciding to leave Japan. It did, and settled in Florida in the 1880's and made me a flutemaker. Felt like the music was it's thinking about going and being willing never to return. But some of our customers are in Japan and the bamboo made the trip back home, a happy ending!
