This is a demo  to describe the Kua-Kumba flute of New Guines. The deep flute in this song is a huge bamboo flute. The Kua-Kummba can sound like a conk or a flute .

Song of the Aruchas

This is a culture fusion meditative bass flute, made out of bamboo. With approximately 620x35mm.

With sound and scale resembling arabic and oriental modes, it is a hybrid between the exotic Akebono and Kokin-Joshi patterns. This is a very deep and relaxing flute, ideal for improvisation and meditation sessions.

It also has an hybrid structure, with a Native American Style bridge and transverse alimentation, making it very easy to play.  

The inside was protected using natural linseed oil. This flute is fire treated and tuned to itself although it is very close to a D :) 

The totem is handcarved out of Holly and is fixed with braided genuine black leather.

Ethnic Native American and oriental meditative Bass bamboo flute. Rustic culture fusion flute.

This is a sample of a flute handcrafted out of Phyllostachys aurea bamboo (~31 x 520mm or 1.22 x 20.5 inches ).

This flute is a hybrid between the chinese Xiao and the Shakuhachi, being end blown. It also has a hybrid scale, a mixture between the VII century's japanese Akebono and Kokin-Joshi modes. This is a very soothing and meditative scale, perfectly melodic, making it a great improvisation and meditation instrument. Although it is not very good for beginners, it is a good challenge! :) The hole placement makes it easy for anyone with small hands to play.
It is tuned to the key of D (at 10 ºC or 50 F, making it sharper in warmer temperatures).

This flute was fire treated and fully carved to mimic dragon scales. The exterior was protected with a mixture of beeswax and sunflower oil and the interior with linseed oil.
