  Residing in Michigan and curating her own musical nest, Jillobird is a up and coming talent harnessing her skills to showcase range, diversity and texture as a DJ in her sets.  Using bits of House, Techno and Trance, JB is certain to peak a dance floor.  With weekly  broadcasts on Twitch Tv, as well as guest appearances on acclaimed international radio station Housemasters Radio based in the UK.  Jillobird contributes to the scene at large, championing awareness for Mental Illness and works with worldwide DJs to collectively break down the stigmas associated with. I started Djing in 2001 on vinyl. Started out with some old belt drive Gemini turntables before progressing to a set of 1210s and as technology moved forward onto CDJs! 

I have had a passion for electronic music from my early teens, started with more commercial dance music before I was introduced to more underground house & techno, from then everything changed and a whole new world of music was opened up to me! 

Techno is my main passion and I love spending the time selecting tracks and creating sets.

Since I was born I feel attracted by music. I listen to almost all genres. In 1990 I fell in love with electronic music. Started dreaming of spinning vinyl, bought my first records. I had access to equipment but was too shy and nervous to pursue my dream. In 2015 I started again this time digital Djing. First as Djane Octavia I was playing Deep House, House and Tech House. Later also Techno, Hard Techno, Acid Techno and Industrial Techno . When I started playing techno, I got more recognition. Had the honour to perform in different radio shows and began to publish sets on Soundcloud and Mixcloud: BASSINJECTION CUEBASE-FM.DE SHB-Showcase Planet X & CLUBIO PRESENT FORWARD Natural Instinct Since December 2017 I use Djane Octavia only for the other genres and have a new name for techno: Djane Darkness. Since October 2019 I am a resident DJ for Keepers of the Labyrinth. My favourite labels: Suara, Hate, Hex Recordings, Innergate Records and many more
My favourite artists: too many too mention but let's try: Ritchi Hawtin, Laurent Garnieren, Gary Beck , Chris Lieblng 999999999, Nico Moreno, Vendex, Snts, Paula Temple, Lorenz Raganzini and many more. Who was my inspiration: The Music, DJs and Djanes and friends who also mix.
