Intentions

there is a joke I like to tell about a man who  is indifferent to music. He's not deaf or hearing impaired. He describes it great detail as incomprehensible, static, least effective method of public speaking ever invented, the jibberish of foreign tongue, a tired fad, etc. He doesn't like to bring it up because people insist he hasn't been exposed to the right music, then they make him listen to the stuff. He's heard it all from Beethoven to Justin Bieber, the didgeridoo to the Moog. On and on. It doesn't have a punchline. It doesn't have an ending, just this sad image of man without the basic cognitive skill to appreciate the rhythmic arrangement of tones and percussion as a form of art. Actually it might be sort of funny if is diatribe broke into a song and dance routine all while proclaiming music to be a waste of time and denying that he was in fact singing about it, but that's a little beyond my skill.
