I began my MOYN closing set very unconventional with simply playing piano and singing a reimagined jazz tune - inspired by MOYN—to jolt the audience awake, perhaps even provoke them, and lead them on a journey inward, to the core of their hearts. The set unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of unreleased originals and timeless classics, spanning genres in a way that reflects my eclectic tastes - weaved into Vocals, Synths and Piano loops. 

What truly made this experience extra special was that, although the set was initially planned for 1.5 hours, the promoters and the energy of the crowd led me to extend it. This spontaneous interaction with the audience created a dynamic and memorable atmosphere, and with this recording, those fleeting moments are preserved and extended. My heartfelt thanks go to MOYN Festival for their trust and to Station Endlos for providing such an incredible stage.

In the early 90’s I recorded a mixtape called Sector 101, it was popular for some time and I got to play part of this set on Power Tools 106 FM which was a DJ radio show broadcast in Los Angeles on Saturday nights (this is where I met Richard Humpty-Vision, Tony B, Sweedish Egil, and Gerry Meraz).  This is also when I started to play DJ sets on Sweedish Egil’s Groove Radio and KSPC.  I put a link to my original mixtape recording below.  Back then DJs were making lots of mixtapes to hand out to promoters and fans, it was like a DJ’s business card.  We also had to deal with the 90 minute hard time limit, 45 minutes per side of an audio cassette tape, which was pretty annoying.  In 2023-2024 I decided to continue this mixtape series and released Sector 303, Sector 606, and Sector 808, so now here is the last mix in the series, Sector 909!
