Three magic organic house mixes for the October edition of the "Scrutinized mixes of the month" series! First we have a fabulous mix with excellent transitions from British-born, Belgium-based DJ and producer Jakhira. The second mix comes from Miraval, a duo from Greece. They created a beautiful and atmospheric mix for the "Soulcast" Podcast series which is hosted by the marvelous Russian trio M.O.S. For the third mix we have Bucharest based DJ and producer Bross delivering a powerful mix for the "Coya Music" Podcast series. Enjoy!

This April's New Moon is brought to you by @inkeinke. 

Berlin-based inke finds her spot in the electronic music scene with a sound ranging from downtempo and world music to slow techno and deep house. While 2020 wasn’t exactly the best year to embark on a musical journey she has played on selected occasions casting her spell on the crowd through an exquisite selection of music and her sparkling attitude. 

Her sets take you on a journey through different atmospheres, gradually creating a flow through hypnotic soundscapes and ecstatic tensions. She has put together this beautiful mellifluous downtempo set for us combining deep basslines, bouncy melodies and organic elements with a touch of melancholia creating a playful emotionally stimulating story.

This set is an invitation to dive inward, see the good in what is, gather your energies, and be ready to enter springtime – a time for new beginnings, new affirmations, and self-care.

Since embarking on its musical journey in 2015, Pandhora has been shaping an authentic sound signature. In 2018, their first live act ‘Deep Psychedelia’ has seen daylight. Since then, they have been touring colorful grounds. As the story unveils, they aspire to create an ever-changing poetic tale.

In 2022, the French duo is announcing the launch of their new live show : 'Evasion'. This 'Inner quest for daydreamers' is an invite into the realm of consciousness. Exploring the topics of dreams, self-acceptance and empowerment, this new performance is suited for clubs and concert stages alike. With a bigger emphasis on instrumental improvisation, they will take listeners into a ninety minutes colorful voyage.

Sonne, Strand und Meer Guest Mix #43 by Sobhan

Raised in a family with a multicultural background and diverse musical influences, Sobhan was exposed to different genres from an early age ranging from Rock and Blues to Reggae, Spanish, French, Indian, classical and Persian music.

His interest in music and especially rhythm led him to play different traditional Persian and western beat instruments such as Daf (Tambourine) and drums. Later, he became particularly interested in electronic music which led him to pursue DJing.

Since migrating to Australia in 2011, Sobhan has been exploring his interest in electronic music and won one of the most prestigious DJ competitions in 2012, Habitat. Since then Sobhan has supported the likes of &ME, Budakid, Matthias Meyer, HNQO, Oxia, Just Her, Way Out West - to name a few. His exposure to both electronic music and traditional Persian music in his home-country and in Australia led him to start his own electronic music production. His sounds are influenced by his musical roots and upbringing, embracing the nomadic sounds from around the world and expressing them within a modern context, creating fusions which can transcend time and place. His music is also influenced by some of his favorite producers such as Armen Miran, Hraach, Kora, DJ Sabo, NU, who have a similar approach in embracing raw and primitive global nomadic sounds.

Through his work, he attempts to create musical journeys that connect the listener to sounds that tell a story, stories of our shared human experiences, through chants, songs and sounds that are new and yet familiar. Sounds that trigger raw emotions, of longing and of homecoming, connecting us to the core of being.

So far, Sobhan has released one EP, ‘Reverie’, on Ready Mix Records and a single track, Hasti, on Art Vibes Music which have gained the support of many prominent artists such as Hraach, Armen Miran, Kora, UNDERS, Maga, Be Svendsen, Niki Sadeki, Zone+, Anatolian Sessions, Savvas, VieL, George X, BiG AL aka BiGz, Amine K. and many more.

Sobhan’s passion for deep, mystical and fusion sounds has recently led him to kickstart a new musical night in Perth, Western Australia under the name ‘Solouk’. Solouk is a Farsi word which translates to ‘The journey of the mystic’. In Solouk, Sobhan and a number of like-minded friends and artists come together to bring an artistic experience delivered through audio/visual medium and introduce a musical journey around the world through their various global sounds. Solouk events have so far attracted much attention and support through the music loving community.

Klaudia is a Polish DJ based in Berlin, She combines electronic music with ethnic melodies which leads into a dark and almost melancholic atmosphere and controls it in a very unique way to always create a beautiful vibe.  
 
After finding the true ambition in music and truly engaging herself into the music scene, she was quick to find here base of actions at a place she can still call home, Karusell in Oslo. From that point she got the opportunity to host her own weekly Tuesday concepts there where she invited local talents to help them grow in the industry. Shortly after she had built her name locally and started to get bookings from other clubs and venues which led her to join forces with fellow DJ/ Producer and event-planner, Amo.

This first Full Moon of the year is brought to you by @audaemusic

"For him and the moon is an invitation to travel in space, a little journey around the moon.  I recorded it for the sake of a dear friend who left earth last year. It’s a way for me to send him some music that I like and keep the link between us, wherever he is now. The set begins with the sound recorded on the moon, followed by « Last night when we were young » by Frank Sinatra, a song that reminds me of him, of us.

My friend was a very talented musician, the day I heard he was gone was a choc. Not just because it’s tragic to leave so young, but also to know that he would not be able to make music again. From this day I promised myself that music will be a priority in my life and started to create my own. That’s why I am happy to present my very first production «  Alien » in the second position.  The rest is a compilation of slow, sometimes dark downtempo beats and end with light dreamy vibes. I put the music of great artists such as Mop Mop, Landhouse, Virken Arman, Xique-Xique, Mount Sanine, Acid Pauli, Pshiuu, Faber, Arutani and Joaquin Cornejo.

I hope you will like it as I did while making it and wish you a pleasant flight ;)
