Serving up scintillating portions of emulsified and emotive system music, the Colorado-based producer Dillard has steadily redefined the meaning of “rocky mountain high”; through careful attention to clarity and composition, he’s suffused a panoply of styles and modes into a catalog of tracks designed to carry impact while balancing a vibe. In anticipation of the release of his Unfolding EP through SmallPrint Recordings, the Rust took advantage of the opportunity to premiere the effusive track “Jimmy 57”.

Wielding liquid sub textures and a bevy of of interlocking chord progressions, “Jimmy 57” is a sensual, stirring ride through musical modality. Rhythmic pockets catch and slingshot the melody across the track’s percussive underbelly, jostling the beat in slurred syncopation. It’s the kind of subtle swing that keeps the shoulders low and the neck limber; downbeats that puncture the arrangement in tandem with the cadence of each phrase. An appropriately smooth tune to round off an even smoother EP, “Jimmy 57” is just the first taste of the full pie, and it’ll be piping hot and ready for consumption on 7/6 on all available platforms.

Combining infectious rhythms and swollen, emotive textures, Arkansas-based producer Jonteal puts an interesting approach to modern low-end design in his third EP, Mezmerize. His poignant synthesis and compositional command blend into a purée of pure mood music.

The combination of tracks on Mezmerize give it a wide berth for a double sided release; the arrangements are extremely fluid, with tendrils of influence from glitch and psychedelic music reflected with soothing twists. The mid-range patches and tones are smoothed around the edges, trading a soft bite for a large impact.

Jonteal’s diverse use of stereo space allows every melody and rhythm to shine in synchronicity. Bright, precision percussion and thumping downbeats are the workhorse of both tracks, matching up with the movements of each bass line with whipcord ferocity. The mingling of that ferocity and an abundance of atmospheric movement define Jonteal as a forward thinking musician, and highlight a deep affinity for structure and tonal relationships. The powerful undercurrent of those relationships is what gives Mezmerize it’s lasting impact.

DJ and music lover.  Live DJ set mix  i have made for small house parties or just me screwing around thunking im some badass whos gotnit going on who is playing un front of 100 or 1000 even 100000 but im  just fooling around in my garage studio or my livibg room, and pool parties. All mixes by DJ Taco D are recorded live with 2 Technics 1210 MKII's  (old as hell but  I love them and still good as new) Shure WhiteLabel stylus and a Denon MC7000.
     I just want to put this out there in hope that it will be heard.  I hope yall like it it isnt perfect but whatever. if you like something you hear let me know so i can stroke my ego a bit.
