Near the acid forest

"leaving the thankfulness in the room" – this track has a conceptual background. i developed it out of the soundtrack of one of my films "jeder schatz hat seinen preis" ("every treasure has it's price"). it's about two old tales located in german mountains saxon switzerland on mount lilienstein. two figures meet in a cave on mount lilienstein, one is frightened, the other curious. somehow they become solidary with each other.

thanks to @cate_hops who invited me to her radio show within the female:pressure podcast and motivated me to produce a new track for it.

Antje Meichsner ist multidisziplinäre Künstlerin in den Feldern Komposition, Text, Radio und Film. Sie arbeitet konzeptuell dazu, wie Landschaften in den Menschen repräsentiert sind, die in ihr leben oder durch sie durchgehen. In ihren Soundarbeiten dekonstruiert sie Field Recordings und Sprachmaterial, das um das Befinden des Subjekts in der Gesellschaft kreist. Ihre Arbeiten sind sowohl installativ/hörspielförmig, sie spielt aber auch performative Live-Konzerte. Zuletzt im Radio: „Genauso bloß anders“ (Deutschlandfunk 2021), ein Hörspiel über das Coming of Age einer Ost-Punkerin in der Wendezeit.

Captations via a hydrophonic microphone placed within their vaginas.

REALITY (realityfilm.co.uk) had the honour of working with pioneering electronic composer Zbigniew Karkowski on two occasions. 
In 2007, as part of the Recording Angel Ensemble's accompaniment to Wojciech Has' film "The Saragossa Manuscript" at the National Film Theatre and finally, for the last time on the 31st October 2013 when, already gravely ill after learning 
that he had advanced pancreatic cancer, Karkowski premiered his music to the BBC 1954 teleplay production of George Orwell's "1984 - The Last Man in Europe" at London's Horse Hospital. It was to be his last public performance. 

Zbigniew died aged 55, just six weeks later on Thursday December 12th in the jungles of Peru 
where he had travelled seeking treatment with the Shaman healers of the Shipibo.
