Wir sind die Band „Pornobo“ aus dem beschaulichen, aber umso wunderschöneren Enger in Ostwestfalen.   Unser Name leitet sich von der Gattung der Bonobo-Äffchen ab, die ihre Konflikte mit Hilfe intensiver Zweisamkeit statt Gewalt lösen und war halt, als man 16 war, noch lustig...
Angefangen haben wir als Rap-Quintett, inzwischen bestreiten wir unser Programm als Band.
Pornobo lässt die Grenze zwischen unbeschwerter Partymusik und inhaltsstarken Texten verschwimmen. Vor der Bühne tanzt man am Abend sorgenfrei zu den gleichen Songs, die einen dann zuhause zum Nachdenken bringen. Lieder über vom Aussterben bedrohte Meeressäuger gehören genauso ins Programm, wie die Hommage an den besten türkischen Imbiss in town. Neun Dorfkids lassen ihre Kleinstadt hochleben und berichten im nächsten Lied von den Abenteuern eines nach Mexiko ausgewanderten Limonadenhändlers. Irgendwo zwischen Hip-Hop, Pop-Rock und Party-Pop, tanzbaren Rhythmen und eigängigen Melodien, spielen Pornobo ihre ganz eigene Auffassung von Volksmusik. Nicht die Florian Silbereisen-Version für Mitt-Achtziger im Musikantenstadl, sondern für die Kinder Anfang 20 zwischen Dönerbude und Abistress.

Employee of the Month Show with Catie Lazarus is a live late night talk show, recorded for podcast. 

After dropping out of her doctoral studies in psychology to do comedy, the comedian wanted to ask people she admired about their careers, be it the good, bad and absurd.
