The trio have found time to send us a new exclusive track unlike anything they have released, a step out of their comfort zone & into the brilliantly twisted melody of ‘Wavey’. The free release takes the form of Flechette’s mellow side, a slowed&screwed hypnotising guitar riff that rings out a wonky anthem holding true to their distinctive vibe. 
Between shows around Europe over the past year, Flechette have cemented their place amongst the uprising talent of the electronic scene in France, working with Paris favourites Tomsize with shows playing alongside DJ Snake & Alesia at The Social Club. With added support from Mad Decent founded Diplo playing out their music, the Paris based group will continue to pick up attention with their unique, variable style of music.

ORIGINAL Citation (Oct 2014): Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) has uncovered a mysterious ‘song’ that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is singing into space. The comet seems to be emitting a ‘song’ in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field in the comet’s environment. It is being sung at 40-50 millihertz, far below human hearing, which typically picks up sound between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. To make the music audible to the human ear, the frequencies have been increased in this recording. A Singing Comet

Sensors in the feet of Rosetta’s lander Philae have recorded the sound of touchdown as it first came into contact with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The instrument, SESAME-CASSE, was turned on during the descent and clearly registered the first touchdown as Philae came into contact with the comet, in the form of vibrations detected in the soles of the lander’s feet. 

Technical note: This is the actual sound file; i.e. it is a recording of mechanical vibrations at acoustic frequencies. No modification was necessary except for some technical adjustments (e.g. the .wav format requires amplitude normalization). Actual frequency content and duration are unchanged.

Indestructable [Preview] (Out Now On Mad Decent Premium)

This recording was produced by converting into audible sounds some of the radar echoes received by Huygens during the last few kilometres of its descent onto Titan. As the probe approaches the ground, both the pitch and intensity increase. Scientists used the intensity of the echoes to speculate about the nature of the surface.

He was part of Kevin Saunderson's Inner City project, released his debut album for Soma and collaborated with many legendary figures, and here he delivers his latest concept 'Overdubs' featuring live percussion, Keyboards & mixed together by Scott along with Ian Finklestien (keyboards & engineer). This is what he had to say;
 "The name is fitting because it simply explains the function with just 2 words Over..Dub. Also I would like to add a few more elements to the Overdubapproach in addition to my djing and venture out later this year to a ear near U. I would like to further acknowledge the original composers for providing some true inspiration & musical direction"

Genetic engineers have designed strains of E. coli that can survive only in the presence of a compound that doesn't exist in nature—meaning the bacteria's odds of escaping the lab alive are limited. Dan Mandell, a research fellow in genetics at Harvard Medical School who co-authored a paper about the findings in Nature this week, explains. David Guston, co-director of the Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes at Arizona State University, discusses the ethical and safety implications of the work.
