Dj Unit started his DJ career in 1995 when he was fourteen, he had expressed an interest in music most of his life. He is exclusive due to his ability to play any style and type of music required and is more than happy to play specialist nights if required. "On Dixie" é um grupo constituído por músicos com formação nas linguagens Clássica e Jazzística que se juntaram com o objectivo de recriar o "Dixieland" e todo o ambiente jazzistico de New Orleans no inicio do séc. XX. Do Ragtime ao Blues, passando pelo Swing, à improvisação polifónica, os "On Dixie" também criam a sua própria sonoridade através da inserção de elementos estilísticos mais recentes na música que os inspirou. Este estilo de música tão alegre e divertido é composto por Jean-Marc Charmier no trompete, Eduardo Lála no trombone, Gil Gonçalves na tuba, John Fletcher no banjo e Pedro Carvalho na bateria. ---------------------------------- From the overwhelming sound of the ragtime up to the blues, also going through polyphonic improvisation, the ON DIXIE drive the public to New Orleans in the 1910s. Themes Louis Armstrong or Fats Waller immortalized, like Basin Street Blues or When the Saints Go Marching In are some of the proposals. With Jean-Marc Charmier (trumpet) from France, John Fletcher (banjo) from the US, and Eduardo Lala (trombone), Gil Goncalves (tuba) as well as Pedro Carvalho (drums) from Portugal, this show is absolutely irresistible!
