If Frank Ocean and Sade had a baby, ASTU would be it. Part retro soul, part nineties R&B pastiche, part New Wave-inspired synth-pop, ASTU’s music refuses to pledge allegiance to a single vibe. The vocalist, songwriter and producer has the ability to find an easy, irresistible groove and turn it into an unhurried banger. A Black, queer and gender expansive artist, ASTU left life as a minister and found themself in R&B, expressing their sexuality, identity and life experience in their music.

With deep roots in Venezuela and Trinidad, GMZ infuses Afro, Latin and Caribbean rhythms throughout his musical expression. Tastefully charting a journey through his open format sets, GMZ enjoys weaving rich melodies across genres like Bass, Dancehall, Baile Funk, Soca, Reggaeton and Afrobeats, as well as journeying through pulsating House, Amapiano and Afrohouse rhythms. 

Aside from his solo work, GMZ is also a founding member of the ALL CAPZ creative collective.

Idle Joy is a four-piece rock and roll band from San Francisco now based in Los Angeles. Through honest lyricism, concise songwriting, and spontaneous musical interplay, the band puts on a compelling and energetic live show. 

The band formed when guitarists Daniel Lavezzo and Tom Conneely started sharing songs after shifts at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Northern California, and ultimately found its sound with the addition of Alex Coltharp on drums and Steve Jaeger on bass.

Idle Joy’s self-titled debut was released early in 2019. Its nine songs are the stories of the everyday; the trials of friendship, love and ambition strung together through worn-in melodies. A new record will be released in 2020.
