The story of the hammer

A man wants to hang a painting. He has the nail, but not the hammer. Therefore it occurs to him to go over to the neighbor and ask him to lend him his hammer. But at this point, doubt sets in. What if he doesn’t want to lend me the hammer? Yesterday he barely spoke to me. Maybe he was in a hurry. But maybe the haste was just an excuse, and he has something against me. But why? I didn’t do anything to him. If he would ask me to lend him something, I would, at once. How can he refuse to lend me his hammer? People like him make other people’s life miserable. Worst, he thinks that I need him because he has a hammer. This has got to stop! And suddenly the guy runs to the neighbor’s door, rings, and before letting him say anything, he screams: “You can keep your hammer, you bastard!”

Ein Mann will ein Bild aufhängen. Den Nagel hat er, nicht aber den Hammer. Der Nachbar hat einen. Also beschließt unser Mann, hinüberzugehen und ihn auszuborgen. Doch da kommen ihm ein Zweifel: Was, wenn der Nachbar mir den Hammer nicht leihen will? Gestern schon grüßte er mich nur so flüchtig. Vielleicht war er in Eile. Aber vielleicht war die Eile nur vorgeschützt, und er hat etwas gegen mich. Und was? Ich habe ihm nichts angetan; der bildet sich da etwas ein. Paco Ray: El Pájaro Minah (ft. David Sinvergüenza & E-Ruizzo)

I'll finish E-Ruizzo project with a conceptual LP album: 4 songs about 'Arctica Point'. I imagined it amid rotation axis, geographic north and magnetic pole, and I located it on dry land !! Then I draw the cover art.

This opening track tells the decision of leaving this annoying present by travelling to that magical place. The following ones tell the trip and life there.

Translated lyrics will explain it with more detail:

EXPEDICIÓN (EL MUNDO SE HACE PEQUEÑO)  /  EXPEDITION (THE WORLD GETS SMALL)

Cansado de vivir en un mundo que se hace pequeño,  /  Tired of living in a world which gets small,
como ratas nos movemos en nuestro agujero.  /  like rats we move in our hole.

Cierro los párpados para no verlo,  /  I close my eyelids so as not to see it,
pero hay demasiadas cosas feas detrás de ellos.  /  but there are too many ugly things behind them.

Expedición (El mundo se hace pequeño)

2nd quarter of the album and titled for Ellesmere Island (see my map), it describes the hard final stage of the expedition to the 'Arctica Point', and first effects felt when getting closer, for example odd rhythms ;)

Once settled in Artica Point, almost frozen, I watch the world happening fast, and I tell you about by singing five verses with different vocal styles, a main instrumental theme in progress all along, and some bits of the other songs in the album to keep it conceptual ;)

I am a frozen statue, watching seasons come and go, feeling changes, doing nothing, forever...
Last movement of the rock symphony, where I pay tribute to, and play, my mom's spanish guitar.
Main theme (bass E1-A1...E1-A1-E2...), appears all along the album, and also main themes of other 3 movements sound here as refrains (Vienen y van / Hora tras hora) which are thus sung over 4 different musics ;) E-Ruizzo project is finished, what's to come?... below translated lyrics.
