Esencia Mix Series

Come with your olde uncle Slaggy on a voyage to the Land of the Deep where the wild Slagbats roam. You'll need a head lamp, shovel, hammer(in case shit gets nasty) and of course...a towel. But be warned if you're looking for an all night rave this mix is not the one for you, over the course of the last 6 weeks or so it's slowly taken over my life and evolved in to what is now an unapologetically heads down, elbows up tear-jerker of a ride that I hope you enjoy.

Lofar continues to celebrate its Deutschland connection with the first 'Get Perlonized' event on Dutch soil.

The Berlin-based label Perlon's unique approach to promoting and producing music has has taken

their catalogue beyond the 50th release mark; sampling, dissecting sounds, never losing focus on that

perfect dance floor 'hook',  and featuring the following rather infamous and talented artists:

Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson, Luciano, Baby Ford & Benjamin Wild [amongst others].

 

On the 11th of November at club NL, legendary Perlon label founder/producer Zip [aka Dimbiman] will most 

certainly rock & entertain, followed up by a slice of live stripped-down-ultra-deep-house by Melchior Production Ltd;

A new mix by Gi Gi, who is known for making music between ambient, downtempo, dub and trip hop.

For this mix, however, he increases the energy & tempo considerably, while maintaining the sense of texture that informs his music.

He recently put out an album on Quiet Time Tapes in September, and has previously released on Good Morning Tapes, INDEX:Records, and Ways Inner Pass.

it's a recording from a club set at a friend's diy space in nyc last september, from the release party for my last lp that just came out.
